Villa Grimaud is a stylish  6 bedroom villa located in the Gulf of St Tropez, within easy reach of this vibrant coast, set in its own private enclosed garden making it an ideal space to relax in, but still within easy reach of the famous Pampelonne beach and “Club 55”.

Take the time to chill out on one of the delightful daybeds just perfect for enjoying the heat of a summer’s day. Only short walks away are the beaches and Port Grimaud with its colourful houses gracefully standing alongside yacht laden waterways. Yet Villa Grimaud is only a stone’s throw away from the glitzy town of St Tropez or the quaint Provençal hilltop village of Ramatuelle, Gassin or Grimaud all overlooking the bay of St Tropez.

Activities

The advantage of being located so close to the Gulf of St. Tropez is that there is plenty to keep you busy. You are within easy reach of three very different golf courses, Beauvallon Golf Club with views overlooking the bay of St. Tropez,  Gassin Golf & Country Club in a privileged position on the peninsula of St Tropez or St Maxime Golf Club. Take advantages of the sandy beaches of Port Grimaud or even the famous Pampelonne beach a short drive away. Enjoy the thrills of the local water sports or even a day’s excursion at sea. Inland you can visit some of the hilltop villages such as Gassin, Ramatuelle and Grimaud, but to name but a few, or why not window-shop, star-spot and ogle yachts in sexy St Tropez while sipping a cocktail in one of the many bars.  There is a passenger ferry to St. Maxime and St. Tropez from Port Grimaud.

Port Grimaud
Port Grimaud referred to as “Venice of Provence”  was designed by François Spoerry in 1960’s, his desire was to create a Venetian style lagoon village where each individual house would have its own mooring, it is arrange over four small islands each joined by canals and bridges, cars are not allowed in. There is a modernist church “Eglise St-François d’Assise” with a pure, plain interior and stained glass by Victor Vasaréy, you will get a great view from the bell tower of Port Grimaud itself, St Tropez and the Maures hills. You can enjoy a market on Thursdays and Sundays mornings. You can take the electric tourist train from Port Grimaud to Grimaud (which will include a tour of Grimaud).

Grimaud

Grimaud is a typical Provencal hilltop village perched in a stunning location with fantastic views of the surrounding hills of the Maures and panoramic views over the Golfe de St Tropez and the deep blue expanse of the Mediterranean. Enjoy wandering through the winding streets decorated with flowers and fountains, the shady squares provide a cool retreat from the sun. The Château du Grimaud dates back to the 11th century and dominates the heights of the village, much was destroyed during the 17th century, and parts of the ruins that remain are the ramparts which in the summer are used as an outdoor theatre.
